I work with parents raising a child with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and other similar diagnoses. Since their child struggles to do what comes easily for most, daily life is filled with frustration and stress. Conventional medical treatments haven’t worked or have caused new, problematic symptoms to appear. These parents share one thing in common: they’re open to natural alternatives and need help navigating the day-to-day management of a natural diet for their child’s ADHD or Autistic symptoms.
Does this sound familiar?
- You’re overwhelmed by the demands of a natural diet plan. You know packaged foods may no longer be an option, but struggle with the planning and preparation of natural, homemade meals.
- You’re worn out and need a break. Most days, it seems impossible to find quiet time to rest, exercise or even bathe. You know self-care is important, but you’re immersed in caring for your special needs child.
- You’re afraid to let go. It’s hard to trust someone else to help you with your child, especially since you know the challenges. You fear what might happen when you’re not there.
- You’re isolated. You’ve managed your child’s social and emotional struggles for so long that they’re now your own and it’s the center of your world. It’s hard to connect with others because you’re drained and can’t handle the pity or blame that seems to come from people who don’t understand what you’re going through.
If any of these scenarios sound familiar, I can help.
What are some characteristics of my clients?
The parents I work with typically share the following common characteristics. If these characteristics describe you, then chances are we would work well together:
- You want the best for your child and family. Family is a priority and you’re willing to make tough changes for their benefit.
- You value new perspectives. You’re open to new and different ways to approach a common problem or concern.
- You’reĀ willing to put yourself first. It’s not always easy, but you know that being healthy and whole has a direct affect on the health and wholeness of your child.
- You understand the value of community and collaboration. You know you can’t manage your problems alone.
- You’re committed to long-term solutions, not a quick fix. You are willing to stick with a plan to see positive results in your child.
